A Case Report of Traditional Korean Medicine-Based Integrative Oncology of Recurrent Cervical Cancer

Objective: To show a decrease in tumor recurrence and improvement quality of life patients with recurrent cervical cancer.Method: A 58-year-old female patient diagnosed cancer February 2021 was treated for 14 months integrative treatment (ICT) to the size improve chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) nausea. The underwent chemotherapy or concomitant chemoradiation therapy (CCRT) ICT. Radiologic outcomes were assessed by abdomen & pelvis computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), positron emission tomography-computed (PET-CT) based on Response Evaluation Criteria Solid Tumors (RECIST) protocol. Clinical National Cancer Institute Common Terminology Adverse Event (NCI-CTCAE), Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG), numeric rating scale (NRS).Result: During treatment, metabolic activity decreased partial remission RECIST. NRS scores CIPN nausea improved, ECOG score improved from grade 2 1. No serious side effects 3 higher noted NCI-CTCAE test.Conclusion: This case suggests that ICT may have synergetic effect radiotherapy cancer.
